Westbound I-4 in Downtown Orlando Closing at Midnight on April 10
Closure scheduled for 12 a.m. to 5 a.m.
Orlando, Fla. Westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) from Colonial Drive (State Road 50) to State Road (S.R.) 408 is closing at midnight on Wednesday, April 9 and will reopen by 5 a.m.
These closures are necessary for bridge work at the I-4 and S.R. 408 interchange.
The recommended detour around this westbound I-4 closure is to exit onto westbound Colonial Drive, and then travel southbound on Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 17-92/441) to re-enter westbound I-4. Law enforcement officers will be monitoring each signaled intersection on the detour route of Colonial Drive and Orange Blossom Trail to promote traffic flow.
The westbound I-4 entrance ramps from westbound Colonial Drive and South Street also will close at 10 p.m. on April 9 and reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
The westbound I-4 entrance ramps from Kaley Avenue and Gore Street will remain open during these closures.
