WB I-4 at Michigan St. Closing for One Night

Michigan St. Under I-4 Closing for Five Nights

Orlando -Westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) at Michigan Street is closing Thursday, Dec. 20 from midnight to 5 a.m. to safely place bridge girders for the new I-4 bridge over Michigan Street.

The detour route for westbound I-4 motorists is to use Exit 81 to Michigan Street. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Michigan Street and continue to Orange Blossom Trail (U.S. 17-92/441). Turn left onto Orange Blossom Trail and follow the signs to westbound I-4 on-ramp.

To support construction of the new bridge, Michigan Street under I-4 will close at 4 p.m. on Dec. 16 until 5 a.m. on Dec. 17. The closure of Michigan Street under I-4 continues at 10 p.m. each night on Dec. 17, 18, 19 and 20 and will reopen the following mornings at 5 a.m.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
