Informational Open House for Wekiva Parkway Section 8

Seminole County The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a pre-construction informational open house about the Wekiva Parkway Section 8 Project in Seminole County.

The open house will be Thursday, Nov. 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Lakeside Fellowship United Methodist Church, 121 N. Henderson Lane, Sanford, FL 32771. During the meeting, attendees will have an opportunity to learn about the construction process for this project, view exhibits and speak with project team members.

This project involves building 2.63 miles of limited access toll road from Orange Boulevard to east of Rinehart Road. This section connects the parkway with Interstate 4 (I-4) and State Road (S.R.) 417, completing Central Florida's beltway. The project also involves building improvements along I-4 from south of S.R. 417 to south of S.R. 46. This includes the general use lanes that will be part of the future I-4 Beyond the Ultimate project. A toll gantry will be built on this section. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2019.
