Orlando - Maitland motorists traveling on eastbound Maitland Boulevard (State Road 414) will experience a second new configuration with six notable changes as soon as the morning of September 15.

Motorists seeking to get on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) or continue on eastbound Maitland Boulevard towards U.S. 17/92 must now use the elevated lanes. The lanes are accessible by two ramps: one situated just beyond Maitland Summit Boulevard and one just beyond Keller Road. Only motorists seeking to enter westbound I-4 should continue at ground level on eastbound Maitland Boulevard
beyond Keller Road.

Turns from eastbound Maitland Boulevard to northbound Keller Road temporarily will be prohibited to allow for crews to complete permanent bridge work over Keller Road. The turn lanes to northbound Keller Road will be restored in about one year. Left and right turns from eastbound Maitland Boulevard to Lake Destiny Road will be permanently prohibited. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes to Lake Destiny Road and northbound Keller Road.

A new permanent traffic signal on Maitland Boulevard at Hope Road will regulate traffic and provide left-turn access to Hope Road from eastbound Maitland Boulevard. Motorists on eastbound Maitland Boulevard will only be able to access Sandspur Road via this new movement. Motorists exiting I-4 to eastbound Maitland Boulevard still will temporarily have direct access to Sandspur Road.

This second traffic shift follows one that occurred on September 8, which moved eastbound I-4 access to new elevated lanes of eastbound Maitland Boulevard.
This interim configuration is necessary to continue constructing eastbound Maitland Boulevard and connecting the interchange ramps.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
