Continuous Lane Closure on EB S.R. A1A/Dunlawton Avenue

 

Port Orange Drivers can expect a continuous closure of the outside eastbound lane on State Road (S.R.) A1A/Dunlawton Avenue beginning next week. The closure will begin west of the entrance to the Port Orange Causeway Park and extend to the western edge of the bridge. The entrance to the park, businesses and Sea Bird Island will be open.

Additionally, the outside eastbound lane will be closed daily across the entire bridge between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. All westbound lanes and the sidewalk will be open.

The closures are part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to clean and paint the steel surfaces of the bridge. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2019. More information can be found on the FDOT's Central Florida website www.cflroads.com.
