U.S. 17/92 Detour at Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford

Sanford Drivers traveling west on Lake Mary Boulevard are advised of a weekend detour that will temporarily restrict left turns onto southbound U.S. 17/92. The detour begins around 6 p.m. tonight and will last through about 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 16.

Both left turn lanes from westbound Lake Mary Boulevard to southbound U.S. 17/92 will be closed, along with the inside westbound lane on Lake Mary Boulevard, for concrete paving.

During the work, drivers traveling along westbound Lake Mary Boulevard will be detoured to College Drive/County Line Road and back to southbound U.S. 17/92.

The detour will allow workers to safely install concrete pavement.

The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen U.S. 17/92 from four to six lanes from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard.

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Please note that this schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions. Construction updates are available on FDOT's Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com
