S.R. 44 Detour at Alabama Avenue in DeLand

DeLand Drivers can expect to encounter a weekend detour at the intersection of State Road (S.R.) 44 and Alabama Avenue in DeLand beginning about 6 p.m. Friday, June 22. The intersection will remain closed through about 5 a.m. Monday, June 25, weather permitting.

Access to all businesses and driveways will be maintained.

Westbound S.R. 44 traffic will be directed to use Amelia Avenue, Rich Avenue and Clara Avenue to detour around the work. Eastbound S.R. 44 traffic will be directed to use Clara Avenue, Howry Avenue and Amelia Avenue. (Please see attached map).

The closures are part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to repair and replace sections of concrete roadway along S.R. 44 between Boundary Avenue and Hill Avenue.

Electronic message boards will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours, and updates will be available on the FDOT's Central Florida website, www.CFLRoads.com.
