Work is continuing near the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) Rest Area

Seminole County Grouting work adjacent to the eastbound rest area on I-4 in the Longwood-Lake Mary area continues early next week, as well as the Monday night after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The nighttime and overnight work requires lane closures, and motorists need to pay attention. 

Closures occur from Sunday night November 19, ending early Wednesday morning, November 22. The work period is from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. No work occurs Wednesday night, nor Thursday/Thanksgiving through Sunday.

The grouting is to address a dip that has developed in the roadway. The lanes remain safe for travel, and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is continuing to monitor the area as work takes place. 

Inclement weather or other conditions could alter the work schedule. Updates will be provided to reflect any changes.
