Occurring near the eastbound I-4 Rest Area

Seminole County Motorists traveling I-4 tonight, through the overnight hours, and subsequent overnights, need to be alert to a work occurring in the travel lanes, which require a single lane closure of the outside lane/right lane on eastbound I-4. The work is occurring adjacent to the eastbound rest area in Longwood, near mile marker 96.

In addition to tonight, overnight closures are expected Wednesday and Thursday this week. Closures will occur from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work is also expected to continue during the overnight hours next week, from Sunday night November 12 through overnight Thursday November 16.

The work, which will include grouting, is to address a dip that has developed in the roadway. The lanes remain safe for travel, and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is continuing to monitor the area as work takes place.  

Inclement weather or other conditions could alter the work schedule. Updates will be provided to reflect any changes.
