ORLANDO - The I-4 Ultimate project will hit another milestone this weekend when support beams are placed for the first new flyover ramp near the Interstate 4-State Road (S.R.) 408 interchange.

To complete the construction activity of hoisting and setting the massive steel girders, the intersection of Division Avenue and Gore Street will close from 11 p.m. on Friday, October 6, until 6 a.m. on Monday, October 9.

During this continuous closure, motorists traveling northbound or southbound on Division Avenue are encouraged to use Orange Avenue as the detour route. Motorists traveling eastbound or westbound on Gore Street, can use Anderson Street to detour around this closure. View or download the detour map of this continuous intersection closure at: http://fdot.tips/GoreDivision.

Construction on the bridge over the Division Avenue and Gore Street intersection is a section of the new eastbound I-4 exit ramp to South Street. For more information about the new I-4 and S.R. 408 interchange, visit i4Ultimate.com/future408.

To accommodate this continuous intersection closure, one lane of Hughey Avenue between Church Street and South Street will be reopened. This section of Hughey Avenue was closed on October 2 for construction of the new westbound I-4 exit ramp to S.R. 408. Hughey Avenue is scheduled to reopen in Winter 2018/2019.
