SR 400 Lane Closures

• Beginning Sunday, September 20: Motorists are advised that the inside, westbound lane and outside, westbound lane of Interstate 4 (I-4) near Mile Marker 125 will be closed non-concurrently beginning Sunday, Sept. 20 for construction activities. There will be two travel lanes maintained at all times.

  Theses nightly closures will occur between State Road 44 (Exit 118) and Interstate 95 (Exit 129) interchanges, beginning at 6:30 p.m. each night ending at 6:30 a.m. the next morning. The lane closures are needed so crews can safely install a temporary barrier wall.

  This work is part of the I-4 Truck Parking project that will construct a new westbound truck parking facility in Volusia County to help address the shortage of truck parking along the I-4 corridor.

  The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

  FDOT advises motorists to use caution, stay alert, and follow all posted signage.

• The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramp from Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road (S.R.) 535) from Monday, September 21, through Thursday, September 24, for bridge work.

  The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Friday, September 25.

  Detour for Westbound I-4 Entrance Ramp from Apopka-Vineland Road - Detour Map

  Motorists will head south on Apopka-Vineland Road, turn right onto westbound World Center Drive (S.R. 536), then take the loop ramp on the right to access westbound I-4.  

  FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

• The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) exit ramp to Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) overnight on Monday, September 21. The closure will begin as early as 10 p.m. and is expected to end by 6 a.m. the following morning, Tuesday, September 22.

  This closure is necessary to move a crane off-site.

  Detour for Eastbound I-4 Exit Ramp to Sand Lake Road - Detour Map

  Motorists traveling on eastbound I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) will continue east and take Exit 75A to Universal Boulevard. From there, turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road.
