• Monday, October 19, to Friday, October 23, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Motorists can expect single lane closures with flagging operations on southbound State Road (S.R.) A1A from Sunny Beach Drive to north of Roberta Road for shoulder work.

• Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23 from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists can expect an inside single lane closure on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) near Mile Marker 125 for construction activities. This closure will occur between State Road 44 (Exit 118) and Interstate 95 (Exit 129) interchanges.

• Beginning Tuesday, October 20: The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting controlled burns along westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) near mile marker 125 between State Road 44 (Exit 118) and Interstate 95 (Exit 129) interchanges. The controlled burns began today, Tuesday, Oct. 20, and are scheduled to occur periodically over approximately two weeks.

  Controlled burns are carefully planned and executed under specific weather conditions to ensure safety and effectiveness.

  Motorists and residents in the surrounding areas may notice smoke and ash as a result of the burns. FDOT advises motorists to exercise caution while driving and to reduce speed and use headlights if visibility is compromised by smoke.​

  This work is part of the I-4 Truck Parking project that will construct a new westbound truck parking facility in Volusia County to help address the shortage of truck parking along the I-4 corridor.

  The work schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

  FDOT advises motorists to use caution, stay alert and follow all posted signs.

• Sunday, October 18 to Thursday, October 22 from 8:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists can expect outside and inside single lane closures on westbound and eastbound State Road 430 (Mason Avenue) from Clyde Morris Blvd to east of Beach Street to allow for overhead signalization and loop installation.

• Monday, October 19 to Thursday, October 22 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.: Motorists can expect outside single lane closures on westbound and eastbound State Road (S.R.) 44 from I-95 to Corbin Park Road. These temporary traffic operations are necessary for the contractor to perform paving operations.

• Southbound I-95 On-Ramp from U.S. 1 

  The southbound I-95 on-ramp from U.S. 1 is scheduled to close nightly between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. for bridge repairs on Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22, with the final overnight closure ending the morning of Friday, October 23. 

  To access southbound I-95: 

  • Motorists traveling on southbound U.S. 1 will continue on U.S. 1 past the interchange and turn right on to Nova Road. Travel south on Nova Road for approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right onto West Granada Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 40). Continue west on West Granada Boulevard for approximately 2.5 miles, then turn left to access southbound I-95.  

  • Motorists traveling on northbound U.S. 1 will turn left on to Nova Road, then travel south on Nova Road for approximately 1.5 miles, and turn right onto West Granada Boulevard. Continue west on West Granada Boulevard for approximately 2.5 miles, then turn left to access southbound I-95. 

  • Motorists accessing northbound U.S. 1 from west of Nova Road will continue north on U.S. 1 past the interchange, then make a U-turn at Destination Daytona Lane to travel south on U.S. 1, then turn right on to Nova Road. Travel south on Nova Road for approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right onto West Granada Boulevard. Continue west on West Granada Boulevard for approximately 2.5 miles, then turn left to access southbound I-95. 

   

  Detour signage will be posted. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Motorists are encouraged to avoid distractions and maintain a safe speed.
