Widening on US 17/92 in Seminole County near City of Sanford [240196-1] View Project
  • Wednesday, July 1st, 2020 to Wednesday, July 15th, 2020

    7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, and 7 a.m. Monday, July 13, through 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14: Motorists are advised that access to Eslinger Way along U.S. 17-92 will be closed to allow for asphalt paving. The outside (right) lane on southbound U.S. 17-92 at Eslinger Way and the northbound left turn lane on U.S. 17-92 turning into Eslinger Way will be closed as well. The following detour will be in place:

    ·       Motorists traveling eastbound on Eslinger Way will be directed to travel westbound on Eslinger Way and follow Eslinger approximately one mile to County Home Road. Motorists will be directed to turn left onto eastbound County Home Road and travel one block to U.S. 17-92. Motorists will be able to turn onto northbound or southbound U.S. 17-92 or proceed onto eastbound County Home Road.

    ·       Motorists traveling on northbound U.S. 17-92 wanting to turn onto Eslinger Way will be directed to turn left onto westbound County Home Road and travel one block to Eslinger Way. Motorists can turn right onto Eslinger Way and follow Eslinger one mile to access all Seminole County offices, the Seminole County Courthouse and the Seminole County Sheriff’s office.

    ·       Motorists traveling on southbound U.S. 17-92 wanting to turn right on Eslinger Way will be directed half a mile south to County Home Road. Motorists will be directed to turn right onto westbound County Home Road, travel one block to Eslinger Way and follow Eslinger to access all Seminole County offices, the Seminole County Courthouse and the Seminole County Sheriff’s office.

  • Friday, July 10th, 2020 to Saturday, July 18th, 2020

    Wednesday, July 15, through Friday, July 17, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists are advised that access to County Home Road on the west side of U.S. 17-92 will be closed to allow for asphalt paving. The following detour will be in place:

     

    ·       Motorists traveling eastbound on County Home Road approaching U.S. 17-92 will be directed to turn left onto Eslinger Way and travel one block north to Bush Loop Road. They will be directed to turn right and travel one block to U.S. 17-92m where they can turn onto southbound U.S. 17-92 and travel one block to the County Home Road/U.S. 17-92 intersection. Motorists will be able to continue southbound, turn left onto eastbound County Home Road or make a U-turn to travel north on U.S. 17-92.

    ·       Motorists traveling southbound on U.S. 17-92 wanting to travel westbound on County Home Road will be directed to turn right on Bush Loop Road and travel one block to Eslinger Way. They can then turn left and travel one block to County Home Road.

    ·       Motorists traveling westbound on County Home Road approaching U.S. 17-92 will be directed to turn right onto northbound U.S. 17-92 to make a U-turn through the paved median cross-over, traveling south before turning right onto Bush Loop Road. Motorists will travel one block west on Bush Loop Road to Eslinger Way and then turn left to travel one block south to County Home Road.

    ·       Motorists traveling on northbound U.S. 17-92 wanting to travel Westbound on County Home Road will be directed north to make the U-turn through the median cross-over and follow the detour above.

  • Friday, July 10th, 2020 to Saturday, July 18th, 2020

    Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists are advised that access to Fairmont Drive along U.S. 17-92 will be closed to allow for periodic roadway construction and paving. Access will be maintained to the Sanford Garden Club on Fairmont Drive. The following detour will be in place:

     

    ·       Motorists traveling southbound on U.S. 17-92 wanting to turn left onto Fairmont Drive will be directed to continue southbound one block to the Collins Drive/U.S. 17-92 intersection. They will be directed to turn left onto eastbound Collins Drive, proceed one block to Parkview Drive, turn left onto northbound Parkview Drive and proceed one block to Fairmont Drive.
    ·       Motorists on westbound Fairmont Drive wanting to turn onto U.S. 17-92 will be directed to turn left onto southbound Parkview Drive and proceed one block to Collins Drive. They will be directed to turn right on Collins Drive and proceed one block to U.S. 17-92.

  • Friday, July 10th, 2020 to Saturday, July 18th, 2020

    Wednesday, July 15, through Friday, July 17, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists are advised that County Home Road on the east side of U.S. 17-92 to Ronald Reagan Boulevard will potentially be closed to allow for asphalt paving. The paving contractor will attempt to use single-lane closures and flagmen to control traffic on County Home Road when paving the east side of the intersection, but if traffic becomes too congested the following detour will be in place:

     

    ·       Motorists traveling southbound on U.S. 17-92 wanting to turn left onto eastbound County Home Road will be directed south to Ronald Reagan Boulevard. Motorists will be directed to turn left onto eastbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard and travel one mile to the County Home Road/Ronald Reagan Boulevard intersection. Motorists will be able to turn left onto County Home Road to access all driveways along County Home Road.
    ·       Motorists traveling eastbound on County Home Road approaching U.S. 17-92 wanting to continue eastbound will be directed to turn right onto Southbound U.S. 17-92 and follow the detour described above.
    ·       Motorists traveling westbound on Ronald Reagan Boulevard wanting to turn right on County Home Road will be directed to continue one mile to U.S. 17-92 and turn right onto northbound U.S. 17-92 back toward County Home Road.

  • Friday, July 10th, 2020 to Sunday, July 19th, 2020

    Monday, July 13, through Saturday, July 18, from 8 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.: Motorists should expect alternating single-lane closures at nighttime and daytime in both directions of travel along U.S. 17-92 at various, multiple locations within the project limits for concrete repairs, temporary lane striping and road widening construction.
