The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramp from both directions of Florida’s Turnpike at Exit 259 overnight on Sunday, August 9. The closure will begin as early as 10 p.m. and is expected to end by 5:30 a.m. the following morning on Monday, August 10.
This closure is necessary for sign installation work. See detour information below.
Detour Information
Motorists on northbound and southbound Florida’s Turnpike who wish to access westbound I-4 should take Exit 259 and stay right onto eastbound I-4. From eastbound I-4, take Exit 78 to Conroy Road. Turn left onto westbound Conroy Road, then turn left again and take the entrance ramp to westbound I-4.
FDOT advises motorists to follow all posted detour signs. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement overnight closures of both eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) entrance ramps from Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road (S.R.) 535) from Sunday, August 9, through Thursday, August 13. The closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6 a.m. each morning, with the final closures ending the morning of Friday, August 14.
These closures are necessary for paving work to lengthen the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road.

Eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Apopka-Vineland Road detour:
From northbound Apopka-Vineland Road, motorists will turn right onto eastbound Vineland Avenue toward International Drive. They will then turn left onto International Drive, then left again onto Daryl Carter Parkway. From there, drivers will turn right onto the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp. View detour map.

From southbound Apopka-Vineland Road, motorists will continue south past the I-4 interchange, then turn right onto westbound World Center Drive (S.R. 536). From there, drivers will take the entrance ramp on the right to eastbound I-4. View detour map.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement intermittent overnight closures of the left-turn lanes from eastbound Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) to northbound Turkey Lake Road from Sunday, August 9, through Thursday, August 13. The closures are scheduled to begin as early as 11 p.m. each night and reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Friday, August 14.
These closures are necessary for force main installation along Sand Lake Road through the Turkey Lake Road intersection as part of the Interstate 4 (I-4) and Sand Lake Road interchange improvement project.

Detour: Eastbound Sand Lake Road to Northbound Turkey Lake Road
From eastbound Sand Lake Road, turn right onto southbound Turkey Lake Road. From there, turn right onto westbound Lake Marie Way. Turn left onto eastbound Sand Lake Sound Road and then left again onto northbound Turkey Lake Road.

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement intermittent overnight traffic pacing operations at the intersection of Turkey Lake Road and Sand Lake Sound Road on the morning of Wednesday, August 12. This operation is expected to begin at 1 a.m. and end by 6 a.m. the same morning.
During the pacing operation, law enforcement will stop traffic at five-minute intervals to allow crews to safely work in the intersection.
This pacing operation is necessary to replace traffic signal mast arms at the intersection as part of the ongoing improvements at the Interstate 4 (I-4) and Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) interchange.
Note: If this work is not completed on Wednesday, August 12, then Friday, August 14, will serve as the backup date for this work during the same hours.

Detour for Eastbound I-4 Exit Ramp to Sand Lake Road
Motorists traveling on eastbound I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road (Exit 74A) will continue east and take Exit 75A to Universal Boulevard. Motorists will then turn right onto southbound Universal Boulevard and proceed to Sand Lake Road.
