The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will implement intermittent overnight closures of the northbound Turkey Lake Road through lanes at the Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) and Turkey Lake Road intersection starting as early as Tuesday, July 7, through Thursday, July 9. The closures are scheduled to begin as early as 11 p.m. each night and are expected to end by 6 a.m. the following morning, with the final closure ending the morning of Friday, July 10.
The right turn to eastbound Sand Lake Road will remain open during these closures. Detours will be in place and signage will guide drivers around the work zone. Motorists should follow all posted signs, plan for extra travel time, and consider alternative routes.
These closures are necessary for force main installation at the Sand Lake Road and Turkey Lake Road intersection as part of the Interstate 4 (I-4) and Sand Lake Road interchange improvement project.
Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. To stay up to date on the schedule for this work, sign up for advanced construction alerts at I4Beyond.com/Alerts.
