The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has completed the Project Development and Environment (PD&E Study) for County Road (C.R.) 470 from C.R. 527 to the Florida’s Turnpike (State Road (S.R.) 91).
The purpose of this study, located in Sumter and Lake counties, was to address current and future travel demand and to provide for the long-term transportation needs within this regionally significant corridor. The study included the widening of approximately 10.5 miles of C.R. 470 and the realignment of C.R. 470 East / C.R. 470 West at U.S. 301. The preferred alternative can be found in the Preliminary Engineering Report below.
At this time, future phases (design, right of way, or construction) have not been programmed in the Tentative Five-Year Work Program. Please check this website regularly for updates
