About

The purpose of this project is to increase capacity and improve safety and operations along International Speedway Boulevard (U.S. 92) from the eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) on ramp to Tomoka Farms Road. This project proposes to widen International Speedway Boulevard to six lanes. The westbound concrete lanes will be completely replaced from the I-4 ramp area to Tomoka Farms Road with asphalt pavement. The existing eastbound asphalt lanes within the project limits will remain as is and will have an additional left inside asphalt lane. To handle the stormwater runoff from the additional pavement, an additional pond will be constructed.

The project also plans to improve the signalized intersections at LPGA Boulevard and Tomoka Farms Road with additional turn lanes and receiving lanes. Sidewalks will be constructed on both sides in between LPGA Boulevard and Tomoka Farms Road. Two new bridges will replace the existing Tomoka River twin bridges.
