The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is working to improve operations at the intersection of U.S. 17-92 (John Young Parkway/South Orange Blossom Trail) and Pleasant Hill Road. Initially, FDOT proposed building a new road that would connect the Fern Drive at Pleasant Hill Road intersection with U.S. 17-92 at the existing opening for The Oaks Boulevard. The concept design was developed through an interim improvement study completed in 2019. Information about the study is included in documents below.

Following a public hearing in May 2021, the Department began additional studies to analyze current and future traffic demands and re-evaluate improvement options at the intersection. That evaluation is still in progress.

The Department is committed to providing the most effective and beneficial solutions to improve safety and mobility in the area.
