About
John Young Parkway (U.S. 17-92/State Road (S.R.) 600), an Emergency Evacuation Route, will be widened by adding a lane within the median in each direction. The proposed typical section will be a six-lane (11-foot-wide lanes) divided urban highway with a 22-foot-wide median, 7-foot-wide bike lanes and 5-foot-wide sidewalks in each direction.

The southern end of the project will have an expanded intersection and a new flyover from John Young Parkway to Pleasant Hill Road. The project has several new ponds and right of way (R/W) acquisition is needed. This project ends at Portage Street.
