About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to widen John Young Parkway (U.S. 17-92 ) to improve mobility and safety along the corridor. The proposed typical section would provide three travel lanes in each direction with a 22-foot-wide median. Bicycle lanes and sidewalks in each direction are also planned.

At the southern end of the project had proposed an expanded intersection and a new flyover from John Young Parkway to Pleasant Hill Road. FDOT also had proposed an interim intersection improvement at the intersection with Pleasant Hill Road under project 418403-6. A public hearing was held on that project in May 2021. FDOT is now re-evaluating options for that intersection.
