This project consists of widening and reconstructing State Road (S.R.) 40 from the end of the 4-lanes to east of County Road (C.R.) 314. The new roadway will have two 12-foot lanes in each direction separated by a 40-foot grassed median. A 12-foot multi-use trail will run along the north side of the road from NE 60th Court to Ray Wayside Park near the Ocklawaha River Bridge. This project also includes the replacement of the Ocklawaha River Bridge with two bridges at a lower profile. Wildlife crossings are provided throughout the project.
This project will begin construction in early 2020.
