FDOT hosts public meeting to talk about US 1/South Ridgewood Avenue improvements

Volusia County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have public information meeting to talk about the State Road (SR) 5/US 1 (South Ridgewood Avenue) design project. The project is about 8.1 miles, from South Street to Magnolia Avenue/Shangri-La Circle.

The meeting will be 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, at Edgewater City Hall – City Council Chambers, 104 N. Riverside Drive, Edgewater.

The improvements for this section of US 1 include:

·         Milling and resurfacing

·         ADA upgrades

·         Adding sidewalks to fill gaps

·         Drainage and signalization improvements.

Construction is funded for this project for fiscal year 2017.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the design concept of this project, and to receive feedback from the public. FDOT staff will be available to answer questions.
