Public Meeting – SR 500/US 441 from SR 46 to SR 44
Lake County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public meeting for State Road (SR) 500/US 441 design project in Mount Dora. The department is designing improvements for SR 500/US 441 to provide roadway capacity to address future traffic demand, serve the community’s needs, and improve the quality of life for residents. The project will widen the roadway from a four-lane, divided rural roadway to a six-lane, high-speed urban roadway which will tie in to the SR 46 interchange to the south, and the six-lane section of SR 500/US 441 west of SR 44 to the north. The project is funded for design and right-of-way (2018-2019), but is not yet funded for construction.
The public meeting will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Mount Dora Community Building, 520 N. Baker Street, Mount Dora. The purpose of this meeting is to present the design concepts for this project to the public. The meeting is an open house beginning at 5:30 p.m. Staff members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. A brief looping presentation and other project information will be available throughout the evening. The meeting ends at 7:30 p.m.
