Crews Continue to Install Steel Griders

Sanford – Lane closures are occurring, from Thursday night, Februrary 2  at 8 p.m. until 5:30 Friday morning, February 3, on State Road (SR) 46, as crews continue to install steel bridge girders near Interstate 4. It is part of a ramp and collector road project underway in Sanford.

From 8 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. (Thurday night-Friday morning), lanes on SR 46 are being reduced to one lane eastbound and one lane westbound. Complete lane closures are also occurring between midnight and 5 a.m., and are limited to no more than 20 minutes at a time. This is for the safety of travelers and construction crews. The work should have little impact on I-4 traffic.

Motorists are reminded to drive safely. The Florida Department of Transportation also urges you to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
