Interstate 95 Sign Installation at State Road 44

Volusia County—A major detour is scheduled for southbound Interstate 95 (I-95) as part of a project  to widen and improve I-95.  Lane Construction Corporation is performing the work under contract with the Florida Department of Transportation.

The southbound I-95 exit 249A ramp to SR 44 eastbound (Canal St.) closure is planned from 9 p.m. Monday, January 5th to 6:00 a.m. the following day.  This closure will allow the contractor to install a new overhead exit sign. Detour signage is in place and the detour route is as follows:

If traveling southbound on I-95
Take the  exit ramp (249B) for westbound SR 44
Turn right on SR 44
Make a u-turn at median turn out
· Continue eastbound on SR 44 under I-95 overpass

Inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work.
