Public Information Meeting for a Corridor Development Planning Study along SR 40
from US 441/SR 500 to NE 8th Avenue, in Marion County.

Marion County- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding plans to conduct a corridor development planning study along SR 40 (Silver Springs Boulevard), from US 441/SR 500 to NE 8th Avenue, in Marion County. This is the first of two public meetings on this topic. The purpose of this public information meeting is to receive public input and to gain ideas from the local community about alternative corridor improvement concepts to support a multimodal approach to providing for future transportation needs. Traffic operation and access management improvements on SR 40 (Silver Springs Boulevard) between US 441/SR 500 and Magnolia Avenue will also be presented.

The public information meeting is scheduled Thursday, November 20th at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition in the lecture hall at 15 SE Osceola Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34471. It begins with an open house at 6:00 p.m. and includes a presentation at 6:30 p.m. The meeting ends at 8:00 p.m. Staff members will be available to discuss the study and answer any questions you may have. Participants may provide public comment at any time during the meeting. Written comments may also be submitted at this meeting.
