Public Meeting- “I-4 Beyond the Ultimate” PD&E Study

Polk County- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting an alternatives public meeting for the “I-4 Beyond the Ultimate” Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study. This study focuses on the concept of adding express lanes on Interstate 4 (I-4), from west of US 27 to west of Kirkman Road/State Road (SR) 435 to the west, and from east of SR 434 to east of SR 472 to the east; a distance of approximately 40 miles.

FDOT is conducting this PD&E study to expand the limits of the I-4 Ultimate project. As you may already know, the I-4 Ultimate construction is scheduled to begin in the first few months of 2015. This upcoming meeting focuses on the segment of I-4 from west of SR 25/US 27 to west of CR 532 (Polk/Osceola County Line) in Polk County and provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements. The public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 20, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Citrus Ridge Ward), located at 1001 Dunson Rd, Davenport, FL 33896. The meeting will be an open-house, with display boards and an automated presentation shown from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. FDOT staff and project team representatives will be available to answer questions and provide information as well.
