Detour Road Construction
Sanford - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding an upcoming public information meeting regarding proposed improvements to SR 46 between Mellonville Ave. and just east of SR 415 in Seminole County, Florida.
This project consists of constructing a temporary detour road to facilitate soil surcharge operations, clearing roadside vegetation, and utility relocations within the SR 46 FDOT Right-of-Way. This is continuation of work already underway along the corridor and is in preparation for the future SR 46 widening project. The proposed temporary detour road will consist of twelve-foot paved travel lanes and five-foot paved shoulders, one in each direction. The Department will conduct a public information open house to provide design information related to the project on Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Midway Safe Harbor Center, 2251 Right Way St, Sanford, FL 32771. Representatives of the Department will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. There will be a brief presentation at 7:00 p.m.
