The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Five invites you to attend an alternatives public meeting for the “Beyond I-4 Ultimate” PD&E Study. This study focuses on the concept of adding express lanes on I-4, from US 27 to Kirkman Road/State Road (SR) 435 to the west, and from SR 434 to SR 472 to the east; a distance of approximately 50 miles.

FDOT is conducting this PD&E study to expand the limits of the I-4 Ultimate project. As you may already know, the I-4 Ultimate construction is scheduled to begin in fall/winter 2014. It will reconstruct the interstate as well as add four express lanes between Kirkman Road/SR 435 in Orange County and SR 434 in Seminole County.

This upcoming meeting focuses on the segment of I-4 from East of SR 434 to East of US 17/92 in Seminole County and provides interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.

The public workshop is scheduled for Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hyatt Place located at 1255 S. International Parkway, Lake Mary, FL 32746. The meeting will be an open-house, with display boards and an automated presentation shown from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. FDOT staff and project team representatives will be available to answer questions and provide information as well. Additional information about the study may be found on the project website at: www.i4express.com.
