Daytona Beach Motorists and pedestrians need to be on the look-out for construction beginning the evening of August 4, 2011 as the Florida Department of Transportation removes signal structures, places temporary stop signs, and modifies the traffic patterns at the following locations:

 

Northeast mast arm at Grandview and Seabreeze

 

Southwest mast arm at Wild Olive and Seabreeze

 

Southwest mast arm at Oleander and Seabreeze

 

Southwest mast arm at Grandview and Seabreeze

 

Southwest mast arm at Peninsula and Seabreeze

 

Northeast mast arm at Oleander and Seabreeze

 

Northeast mast arm at Wild Olive and Seabreeze

 

Northeast mast arm at Peninsula and Seabreeze

 

Replacement of the signal structures is scheduled as part of an ongoing replacement project. Their removal has been expedited due to concerns about high winds.

 

The consultant for the replacement project is Traffic Control Devices, Inc. and the project cost is $817,450.00.

 

Motorists and pedestrians should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along the construction corridor, and are urged to use caution and drive with care.

 

The Florida Department of Transportation urges vehicle occupants to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
