Volusia County - Motorists traveling on I-4 between SR 44 and US 92 will see some changes during their commute as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues work to
widen I-4 in Volusia County.

The project contractor Condotte/DeMoya, JV/LLC has scheduled a traffic shift for I-4 from SR 44 to US 92. Eastbound traffic in this area is moved over to the new temporary pavement. The shift in traffic has been scheduled to take place on March 20, 2013.

Traffic delays are not expected, however motorists should be aware of trucks entering and exiting the roadway. The new traffic pattern is expected to last for approximately one month. The next traffic switch will move the westbound traffic to the eastbound side of the roadway. This temporary traffic shift is
to accommodate re-construction of the new westbound roadway.

Motorists are urged to slow down, obey the posted speed limit, and drive with extreme caution through the work zone. All traffic safety devices will guide motorists through the project safely.

The Florida Department of Transportation urges drivers to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
