The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), is holding a public workshop regarding plans to improve safety along SR 44 in Lake County. The project addresses crashes at the intersection of SR 44 and Countryside Boulevard by converting the full median opening to a directional median opening. This modification reduces traffic conflict points by restricting certain turning movements at this intersection.
The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, February 12th, 2013 at the Penbrooke Center’s Grand Hall located at 33825 Countryside Boulevard in Leesburg. It begins with an open house at 5:30 p.m. and includes a brief presentation at 6:00 p.m. Staff members will be available to answer questions before and after the presentation.
Public comments are encouraged and can be submitted at this workshop; by mail to Mr. David Dangel, P.E., Public Involvement Coordinator, Inwood Consulting Engineers, 3000 Dovera Drive, Suite 200, Oviedo, Florida 32765; or by email to email@example.com no later than February 26th, 2013. All comments, written and oral, will become part of the project’s public record.
Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act or persons who require translation services (free of charge) should contact Mr. David Dangel, P.E., Public Involvement Coordinator, Inwood Consulting Engineers, 3000 Dovera Drive, Suite 200, Oviedo, Florida 32765; telephone (407) 971-8850; or by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org at least seven days prior to the meeting.
