Continuous Closure of the Eastbound U.S. 92 On Ramp to Southbound I-95

Various closures within the Interstate 95 (I-95) Widening and Systems Interchange project next week including complete nighttime closure of I-95 from U.S. 92 to LPGA Boulevard

 

Daytona Beach, Fla. Motorists traveling in the Daytona Beach area should anticipate various closures within the Interstate 92 (I-95) Widening and Systems Interchange project limits.  Beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, July 22, a continuous closure is planned for the on ramp from eastbound U.S. 92 (International Speedway Boulevard/ISB) to southbound I-95. The ramp is scheduled to open by 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 25.  In addition to the continuous closure, construction activities will also require multiple nighttime closures at the I-4 and U.S. 92 (ISB) interchanges, including the complete closure of I-95 from U.S. 92 (ISB) to LPGA Boulevard as well as the closure of westbound I-4 from I-95 to Tomoka Farms Road, weather permitting.

 

The scheduled closures and posted detours are detailed as follows:

 

When: Monday, July 22, from 10 p.m. through 10 p.m. Thursday, July 25

What: Continuous closure of the eastbound U.S. 92 (ISB) on ramp to southbound I-95

How it will work: Traffic from eastbound U.S. 92 (ISB) headed to southbound I-95 will be directed to take southbound Williamson Boulevard to S.R. 400 (Beville Road) where southbound I-95 will be accessible.

 

When: Monday, July 22, and Tuesday, July 23, from 10 p.m. 6 a.m.

(Wed., July 24 is a backup date)

What: Closure of the northbound collector distributor road, which affects the following ramps: northbound I-95 off ramps to westbound I-4 and U.S. 92 (ISB); and, northbound I-95 on ramps from eastbound I-4 and westbound S.R. 400 (Beville Road).

How it will work:

  • Traffic from northbound I-95 heading to westbound I-4 will be directed to exit onto S.R. 400 (Beville Road) and take northbound Williamson Boulevard to westbound U.S. 92 (ISB) to access westbound I-4.
  • Traffic from northbound I-95 heading to U.S. 92 (ISB) will be directed to exit onto S.R. 400 (Beville Road) and take northbound Williamson Boulevard to U.S. 92 (ISB).
  • Traffic from eastbound I-4 heading to northbound I-95 will be directed to exit onto S.R. 400 (Beville Road) and take northbound Williamson Boulevard to westbound U.S. 92 (ISB) to access northbound I-95.
  • Traffic from westbound S.R. 400 (Beville Road) heading to northbound I-95 will be directed to take northbound Williamson Boulevard to westbound U.S. 92 (ISB) to access northbound I-95.

 

When: Wednesday, July 24, from 10 p.m. 6 a.m.

(Thurs., July 25 is a backup date)

What: Closure of northbound and northbound I-95 from U.S. 92 (ISB) to LPGA Boulevard

How it will work:

  • Traffic from northbound I-95 will be directed to exit at U.S. 92 (ISB) and take northbound Williamson Boulevard to LPGA Boulevard to access northbound I-95.
  • Traffic from southbound I-95 will be directed to exit onto LPGA Boulevard to southbound Williamson Boulevard to U.S. 92 (ISB) to access southbound I-95.

 

When: Friday, July 26, from 10 p.m. 6 a.m.

What: Closure of westbound I-4 from I-95 to Tomoka Farms Road

How it will work:

  • Traffic from northbound and southbound I-95 will be directed to exit onto westbound U.S. 92 (ISB) to access westbound I-4.
  • Traffic from S.R. 400 (Beville Road) will be directed to take northbound Williamson Boulevard to westbound U.S. 92 (ISB) to access westbound I-4.

 

Motorists are advised to slow down and follow posted detour signs. Motorists may also want to plan ahead and add some extra time to their drive.
