State Road (S.R.) 417 Ramp Closure Thursday Night to Friday Morning

Sanford, Fla. A detour will be in place overnight Thursday into early Friday morning that will impact drivers heading into Orlando from State Road (S.R.) 417, as the ramp merging onto westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) near Sanford gets repaved. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is repaving the ramp to correct a dip that has formed over time. The ramp closure is expected to last from 10 p.m. Thursday, March 7 until 5 a.m. Friday, March 8.

Drivers will be directed to take northbound S.R. 417 to the International Parkway exit, where motorists may turn left at the stoplight to make their way southbound to Hugh Thomas Parkway (County Road 46A), or to Lake Mary Boulevard. It's anticipated the repairs should be completed during this closure and the cost covered under FDOT's existing maintenance contract with the vendor.
