Feedback Opportunity for S.R. 434 (Forest City Road) Safety Improvements

Orange County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 5-7 p.m. about proposed safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 434 (Forest City Road) at the intersection with Falkner Road. The hearing will be held at the New Life Community Church on Forest City Road.

The hearing will begin as an informational open house at 5 p.m., during which time project displays and other information will be available for review. Staff also will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. A presentation will begin at 6 p.m., after which, participants may provide their verbal comments to all present.

The project proposes to convert the full median opening to a bi-directional opening that allows southbound traffic on Forest City Road to make a left turn onto Falkner Road and northbound traffic to make a left into the medical office complex driveway; and, traffic from Falkner Road and the office complex will only be able to turn right onto Forest City Road. This reduces the number of conflict points at the intersections, improving safety.
