Detour on Silkwood Court at U.S. 17/92 in Sanford

Work is part of the widening project from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard

 

Seminole County Motorists are advised of a detour on Silkwood Court at U.S. 17/92 on Friday, Jan. 4, beginning around 8:30 p.m. thru 6:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan 7.

 

U.S. 17/92 traffic will be directed to continue to County Road 427 (North Ronald Reagan Boulevard). Silkwood Court traffic will be directed to North Ronald Reagan Boulevard and back to U.S. 17/92 at the traffic light.

 

The detour will allow the contractor to install pipes under Silkwood Court. The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to reconstruct U.S. 17/92 from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard from a rural four-lane roadway to an urban six-lane roadway.

 

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Updates are available on the FDOT's Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com.
