Kirkman Road Southbound Switch Postponed

Orlando - The traffic shift on southbound Kirkman Road (State Road 435) has been postponed as construction crews need more time to do the switch-over. The target now is to have the shift occur sometime early next week. Updates will follow as the shift will involve a southbound closure of Kirkman Road between Major Boulevard and International Drive, as well as an exit ramp closure.

A separate closure overnight/early tomorrow in the same general area is still on schedule. Northbound Kirkman Road between International Drive and Interstate 4 (I-4), as well as the eastbound I-4 entrance ramp from northbound Kirkman Road will be closing from midnight until 5 a.m. on Dec. 7. This closure is necessary to install an overhead sign structure.

Modifications or extensions to this schedule may be necessary because of weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
