Seminole County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will host an informational open house on Wednesday, September 12, to discuss improvements to Interstate 4 (I-4) in Seminole County. The public meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lake Mary Events Center, located at 260 N. Country Club Road.

These traffic operation and capacity improvement projects will improve mobility and safety for Seminole County residents, and help ease the commute between Orlando and Lake Mary. The proposed projects include widening the E.E. Williamson Road overpass and constructing an additional auxiliary lane from the end of the I-4 Ultimate project through Lake Mary Boulevard. It also includes resurfacing eastbound I-4 from west of Lake Mary Boulevard to County Road 46A and State Road 46 to the Volusia County line.

Maps, drawings and other pertinent information will be available for public review at the open house between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. FDOT staff and others associated with the project will be available to discuss the project and answer questions directly with attendees. Written comments can also be submitted at the meeting or sent to Hatem Aguib, P.E., FDOT Project Manager, by mail 719 S. Woodland Blvd., Mail Station 542, DeLand, Florida 32720 or via email at hatem.aguib@dot.state.fl.us no later than September 22, 2018.
