U.S. 17/92 Detour at Lake Mary Boulevard in Sanford

 

Sanford Drivers traveling north on U.S. 17/92 toward Lake Mary Boulevard are advised of a weekend detour. Left turns from U.S. 17/92 onto westbound Lake Mary Boulevard will be temporarily closed for concrete paving.

 

The detour begins around 6 p.m. Friday night, August 17 and will last through about 6:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20.

 

Northbound U.S. 17/92 traffic will be directed to turn left onto County Home Road and right onto College Drive, which then ends at Lake Mary Boulevard.

 

The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen U.S. 17/92 from four to six lanes from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard. 

 

Electronic message boards and other signage will be used to direct motorists. Please note this schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions. Construction updates are available on FDOT's Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com.
