State Road 44 Detour at Alabama Avenue in DeLand

DeLand Motorists traveling State Road (S.R.) 44 near DeLand are advised of a planned weekend closure of S.R. 44 at Alabama Avenue beginning about 6 p.m. Friday, June 15. The intersection will remain closed through about 6 a.m. Monday, June 18, weather permitting.

 

Access to all businesses and driveways will be maintained.

 

Westbound S.R. 44 traffic will be directed to use Amelia, Rich and Clara avenues to detour around the work. Eastbound S.R. 44 traffic will be directed to use Clara, Howry and Amelia avenues. (Please see attached map).

 

The closures are part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to repair and replace sections of concrete roadway along S.R. 44 between Boundary and Hill avenues.

 

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances, and if this happens, the closures may be rescheduled.
