Westbound I-4 Off-Ramp to Florida's Turnpike Closing June 1-4, Shifting to New Roadway
Orlando - Motorists accessing Florida's Turnpike from westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) after June 4 will drive on a new ramp and bridge following a weekend-long closure of the ramp.
The westbound I-4 exit ramp to Florida's Turnpike (Exit 77) is closing at 10 p.m. on Friday, June 1, and reopening by 5 a.m. on Monday, June 4. The exit point from I-4 to the new ramp will largely remain the same.
The continuous closure is necessary to connect a new permanent ramp and overpass to the existing westbound I-4 lanes.
A handout illustrating the detour and ramp shift is available online to view or download at: https://fdot.tips/2LOJNLa
Modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work zone.
The I-4 Ultimate project is rebuilding 21 miles of Interstate 4 (I-4) from west of Kirkman Road in Orange County to east of State Road 434 in Seminole County, adding two new dynamic tolled Express Lanes in each direction, replacing more than 140 bridges, reconfiguring 15 major interchanges and reconstructing the entire roadway.
