Road Closure Scheduled for Brown Chapel Road in St. Cloud

Osceola County Beginning around 9 a.m. Monday, April 23, Brown Chapel Road at State Road (S.R.) 500/U.S. 192 in St. Cloud will be closed for approximately three weeks. The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen S.R. 500 (U.S. 192) from Aeronautical Drive to Budinger Avenue.

U.S. 192 traffic needing to access Brown Chapel Road will be directed to Old Canoe Creek Road (see attached map). The left turn lane from eastbound U.S. 192 to Brown Chapel Road, and the right turn lane on westbound U.S. 192 at Brown Chapel Road will also be closed.

Electronic message boards have been installed to inform motorists about the road closure, and detour signs will guide traffic.

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances. Updates will be available on the FDOT's Central Florida website http://www.CFLRoads.com.
