Traffic Shift Scheduled for U.S. 27 in Clermont

Lake County A new traffic pattern is anticipated next week on U.S. 27 between Boggy Marsh Road and Lake Louisa Road in Clermont. The change could be in effect as early as Monday morning.

Two lanes will be opened on the new southbound lanes, essentially splitting northbound and southbound traffic. Northbound traffic will remain in one lane. The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen U.S. 27 from a four-lane rural street to a six-lane suburban highway from Boggy Marsh Road to 1,000 feet north of Lake Louisa Road.

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours. Updates will be available on the FDOT's Central Florida website http://www.CFLRoads.com.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at 386-943-5479 or d5-pio@dot.state.fl.us.
