Ronald Reagan Boulevard Detour Scheduled for Tonight

Seminole County Traffic on Ronald Reagan Boulevard (County Road 427) will not be able to access southbound U.S. 17/92 at the intersection beginning Friday, April 20 at 8:30 p.m. through approximately 6 a.m. Monday, April 23. The closure will allow for the construction of new concrete pavement in the dual left turns of westbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard.

Traffic will be directed to continue west on Ronald Reagan Boulevard and access southbound U.S. 17/92 from Silkwood Court (see attached map). The left turn lane and the two southbound U.S. 17/92 thru lanes at South Ronald Regan Boulevard will be closed and the right turn lane will serve as a combined thru lane and right turn lane.

The construction is part of FDOT's project to widen U.S. 17/92 from four to six lanes from Shepard Road to Lake Mary Boulevard.

Please note construction schedules may change due to weather or other circumstances. Electronic message boards will be used to alert motorists to lane closures and detours, and updates will be available on the FDOT's Central Florida website www.CFLRoads.com.

Media inquiries should be directed to the FDOT Communications Office at 386-943-5479 or d5-pio@dot.state.fl.us.

FDOT advises drivers to slow down and use extra caution in construction zones.
