Traffic Advisory for Sand Lake Road near Shingle Creek Bridge

Orange County – Motorists that drive on State Road (S.R.) 482/Sand Lake Road are advised that on Sunday, March 11, there will be lane closures in front of the South Water Reclamation Facility. These closures will start at 7 a.m. Sunday and last approximately until 7 a.m. Monday, March 12.

During the lane closures, the contractor will be installing a 42-inch force main pipeline across the roadway that leads from the reclamation facility.

The work is part of a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project to widen and reconstruct Sand Lake Road from west of Universal Boulevard to west of S.R. 423 (John Young Parkway).

Please note that this schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected conditions. Construction updates are available on FDOT’s Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com, or by contacting Public Information Coordinator Shemir Wiles at 321-319-8130 or Shemir.Wiles@dot.state.fl.us.

For media inquiries, please contact the District Five Communications Office at 386-943-5479 or d5-pio@dot.state.fl.us.

To ensure your safety and the safety of others, please exercise extra caution when driving through construction work zones.
