Begins Friday Night, Weather Permitting


Orlando The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing project support to Florida Central Railroad Company, Inc. so it can conduct surface reconstruction work at the State Road (S.R.) 423/John Young Parkway railroad crossing. Motorists will encounter detours lasting three nights beginning at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2017. Traffic flow is anticipated to return to normal at 6:00 a.m., Monday, August 28, 2017.

The John Young Parkway detours are:

Northbound John Young Parkway:   

·         East on Silver Star Road                                                                                                                                                                                

·         North on N. Orange Blossom Trail

·         West on Shader Road


Southbound John Young Parkway:   

·         East on Shader Road                                                           

·         South on N. Orange Blossom Trail      

·         West on Silver Star Road

Motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along the construction corridor. Motorists are urged to use caution and drive with care. Remember, weather conditions or schedule changes could affect the timing of this project.
