Brevard County - The Florida Department of Transportation is holding a public information meeting regarding resurfacing and drainage improvement plans along State Road (S.R.) 46/West Main Street from west of Palm Avenue to S.R. 5 (US 1). This public information meeting is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to give feedback concerning the conceptual design of the proposed roadway improvements.

The primary purpose of this project is to improve and extend the life of the existing pavement, bring multimodal and ADA features into compliance with current standards, and perform general safety modification work. The project is funded for construction in January of 2018.

The public information meeting is Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Indian River Preserve Golf Clubhouse Banquet Room located at 3950 Clubhouse Drive, Mims, Florida 32754.  The public information meeting will begin as an open house starting at 5:30 p.m. where the participants may review project documents and discuss the project with staff.  There will be brief presentation at 6:00 p.m., after which participants may provide comments to all present.

Written comments can be submitted at this meeting or by mail to; Ms. Sarah Van Gundy, Project Manager at FDOT District Five, 719 South Woodland Boulevard, Deland, Florida 32720 no later than June 1, 2017.  All comments, written and oral, will become a part of the project’s public record.
