Sprint through Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend Traffic with Florida 511
Real-time Central Florida traffic updates from FDOT will help you arrive safely and on time
TALLAHASSEE – Long-distance runners driving to Central Florida to compete in the 2017 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend can spend more time racing through foot traffic than navigating vehicle traffic by using the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Florida 511 Traveler Information System.
Before traveling to the event, which begins Wednesday, January 4 and ends Sunday, January 8, marathon race competitors and their families are encouraged to check the user-friendly Florida 511 system for real-time traffic information.
Download the free Florida 511 mobile app on Google Play or the Apple App Store to receive up-to-date traffic information and door-to-door directions. Check your route before hitting the road or have a passenger check while driving.
In addition to using the mobile app, motorists can:
- Visit FL511.com for interactive roadway maps showing current traffic conditions, crashes, construction, congestion, closures, travel times and traffic camera views.
· Sign up for a My Florida 511 personalized services account at FL511.com to create custom routes and register for email and text alerts.
- Call 511 toll-free from any phone in Florida for updates.
- Follow one or more of the 13 statewide, regional or roadway-specific Twitter feeds (#FL511), including @FL_511_I4, @FL511_TURNPIKE and @FL511_Central.
FDOT encourages everyone to check Florida 511 to know before you go for a safe and on-time arrival.
