SR 472 Nightly Ramp Closures at I-4 Interchange Planned

Volusia County There will be overnight detours for exit ramp closures at the State Road (SR) 472 interchange with Interstate 4 (I-4) on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17-18, to complete resurfacing.

Project contractor P&S Paving, Inc. are expected to have ramp closures, and lane closures, as follows:

·         Monday, 8 p.m. - 5 a.m., SR 472 entry ramp to I-4 eastbound: Traffic will be directed north on Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway to Orange Camp Road (Exit 116) eastbound to I-4.

·         Tuesday, 11:59 p.m. – 6 a.m., I-4 eastbound exit ramp to SR 472: Traffic will be directed to proceed east to Orange Camp Road (Exit 116) west to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway south to SR 472.

·         Wednesday, I-4 westbound exit ramp to SR 472. Lane closures only. The ramp will remain open.

·         Thursday, 8 p.m. – 4:30 a.m., SR 472 entry ramp to I-4 westbound: Traffic will be directed to Saxon Boulevard via North Kentucky Avenue and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

 

The ramp resurfacing is part of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)’s project to mill and resurface SR 472 from the Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway to Graves Avenue. Times and dates may change due to weather conditions and other variables.

FDOT urges all drivers to use caution when traveling through construction zones.
