Brevard County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have a public hearing about safety improvements in the area of State Road (SR) 15/South Conway Road, just north of Hoffner Avenue at the north Conway Crossing/Belle Isle Commons shopping plaza driveways, in Orange County.

The project addresses crash patterns at the intersection by changing the full median opening to a directional median opening. This modification reduces traffic conflict points at the intersection, improving safety.

The public hearing will be 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the DoubleTree by Hilton – Orlando Airport, Atlantis Room, 5555 Hazeltine National Drive, Orlando, FL 32812. There will be a formal presentation at 6 p.m. Staff will be available to discuss the project and answer questions before and after the presentation.

Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status.  Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Jennifer Smith, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator by phone at 386- 943-5367, or via email at Jennifer.Smith2@dot.state.fl.us.
