Traffic shift scheduled for SR 48 in Bushnell
Sumter County – On Tuesday, September 13, eastbound and westbound traffic on State Road (SR) 48 will move to the north side of the road between West Street and Main Street.
This configuration is slated to last for about four to six months so contractor D.A.B. Constructors, Inc. can work on the south side of the road as part of the SR 48 widening project from east of the I-75 ramps to Main Street (CR 475).
In addition to the traffic shift, the left turn lanes on SR 48 at West Street will be temporarily removed during this phase of construction.
The schedule is weather permitting. Project updates will be posted to FDOT’s Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com.
To ensure your safety and the safety of others, please exercise extra caution when driving through construction work zones.
